With a population of nearly 360 000, Bydgoszcz is the largest city in the region and the eight largest in Poland. It is also one of the fastest growing economic, administrative and scientific centres in the country, hosting major cultural and sport events. Our assets include a young well-educated and entrepreneurial society, a diversified economy, attractive location – in central Poland – and a wide range of investment areas. Bydgoszcz is a strong academic hub with ca 42 000 students who constitute over a half of the total number of students living in the region of Kuyavy and Pomerania, studying at 15 colleges and academies, including 2 universities. With approximately 12 000 graduates every year equipped with the right skills in IT, finance & accounting, management and languages, the City provides a strong supply of a qualified labor for the local economy. Proximity of an international airport located 3.5km or 10 minutes from the city centre and access to main roads to Gdańsk, Poznań and Warsaw present Bydgoszcz as an attractive location for serving both domestic and international markets. Bydgoszcz was appreciated in reports compiled by PwC and Colliers International. A significant growth of the ITO sector within the City over the last few years, presents Bydgoszcz on the outsourcing map of Poland as an IT Centre of Excellence.
