New, because it offers e-invoice/EDI processing, a new technology called PDFR for invoice PDF’s, Intelligent template free Data Capture for paper invoices and a new ‘Self-service’ portal, all in a single platform with a smart Workflow, which even allows invoice approvers the chance to ‘approve on the move’ on their smart phone.
For paper invoices it is called Intelligent Data Capture because you no longer have to tell the system about the invoice layout which was known as’ templating’, this is now history and so with no set up TIS’s Intelligent Data Capture for paper has pushed the boundaries to 90%+ correct field extraction and a non- touch end to end process in some cases of over 60%.
PDFR is TIS technology that gives you a 100% read of invoice pdf’s received by SSC’s from suppliers. Upon receipt PDFR will email a receipt and a tracking number back to the supplier ensuring a much more secure solution over the traditional posting of paper based invoices. PDFR technology uses the underlying structured data within a pdf, it is not OCR and is as reliable as an e-invoice, see www.pdfr.co.uk
Self Service is the latest addition, a self-service portal that not only offers invoice status updates but also a solution for small ‘tail end’ suppliers to submit their invoices i.e. scanned paper or pdf’s and then manage their invoice data corrections online. Effectively they can submit, correct and check on payment status without ever impacting on your staff.
The TIS solution comes with an optional highly intuitive and user friendly exception management Workflow which offers multiple connections to all recognised ERP’s enabling the SSC to deliver a singular process across all companies regardless of back office system.
